Peasant skirt refashion!
I have been loving this high-low skirt thing that’s been going around.
I wanted one of my own, but wasn’t big on the miniskirt wrapped in chiffon thing so I opted to search for a skirt at Savers instead.
That places is usually crawling with peasant skirts, which I was big on early in high school for reasons I still can’t explain.
The original wasn’t too bed by itself, the waist fit but it was meant to be worn low on the hips and I wasn’t digging that.
The panels and general flow of the skirt presented a lot of fabric to deal with, but I knew if it was a little off the flow would probably hide it. Plus! I was able to use a sewing machine, my mom’s from the 80’s, but still! So this really took very little time.
I may use the extra fabric to make a head wrap or some such thing because why not?
I think it looks very chic and could be paired with a plain tee or tank, or even a belt and some heels to class it up a little. Go me, I think this one was a success, even through it looks a little square in the picture. Oh well.
This is a collage I made from some of the pictures posted by Hartosexuals from the Hello Harto meet ups :)
I see mine!
Hey its me!
The anti-love/happiness/equal marriage senators were making me mad, so I looked up corgis on Tumblr.
I feel better.
Come on Minnesota! Marriage for all!
I met Hannah Hart! She is just wonderful and I still haven’t really processed it. Also, I asked her if she wanted to go to the bar, which is like asking her out! I asked out a celebrity go me!
Here is a vlog about the experience if you so choose to watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GvCzZN2tws&feature=player_detailpage&list=HL1367986101
